Wondering what to eat and what to cook next can be time consuming and can be confusing. A way to tackle this is through meal planning . Meal planning just simply means planning your meal ahead of time , most especially having a meal time table and menu. Having a meal plan helps you know what to cook next, what ingredients you need to purchase and have and all the necessary things. A meal plan can be a meal time table for a week, a month or even more. There are several important things when it come to meal Planning

One of the important things to take into consideration with meal planning is that it has to have a well balanced meal with all the necessary balance diet and essential food values such as proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins , mineral and water .

Another important thing to take note of when doing a meal plan it do divide it with time of meal eg. breakfast from 7-8 am, brunch which is mid morning break, 11-12 noon. There is also lunch 2-3pm , afternoon snack by 5-6pm and then Dinner 8pm.

So as not to get overwhelmed when meal planning, there is a simple rule which is to decide the first main dish and makes sure it covers the provision of proteins, after choosing the main dish, you can then choose the accompanying meals.

Also, to make it easy to have access to foodstuff and purchase the ingredients to make the necessary meals on your meal plan, make use of foods that are available based on the different seasons of any country you are in. This helps you manage your time in the market, it also helps you save cost as it is relatively cheap .
If your meal plan is not for only you but the whole family, then make sure to consider what other people in the family would need.

Most importantly Make sure that when you are cooking the meals on your meal plan, use the cooking method that is suitable for the meal.
Lastly always plan your meals days ahead ,make sure there are different meals in your meal plan and don’t serve the same meals daily.
